    • The Skalkaho Highway is the scenic (but a bit rough) route from the south Bitterroot Valley to Scenic Highway 1, which takes you to Philipsburg and Georgetown Lake. This is a great way to spend a day when visiting the Bitterroot Valley. However, it is NOT the drive to do while pulling a trailer. It is a dirt road with many switchbacks. That said, the drive is amazing and worth exploring.
