Cable Mountain Campground is located 3 miles north of Georgetown Lake in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The campground stretches across 5 wooded acres along the North Fork of Flint Creek. Lodgepole Pine, Douglas-fir, and Engelmann Spruce provide ample shade. This campground is well situated for campers to enjoy the wide range of recreational activities in the Georgetown Lake area. There are 11 first-come, first-served campsites, and the fee to camp is $15 per night.
Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.
Directions: From Philipsburg travel South on Highway 1 for about 12.5 miles, then turn left onto Southern Cross Road. In .8 miles make a slight left onto Echo Lake Road and continue for 2 miles to the junction with Red Lion Road. As you approach this junction you will see a directional sign for Cable Campground and Red Lion Snowmobile Parking – turn right and in .3 miles the campground entrance will be on your right.

Piney Campground is adjacent to Georgetown Lake and provides ideal access to fishing, boating and water skiing. It is located in the Pintler Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Surrounded by mountains of outstanding beauty, the location is perfect for visitors who enjoy mountain and water sports or those who prefer relaxing and taking in the spectacular view.
Campsites are $15 per night / 16-day limit.
Directions: Piney Mountain Campground is located about 13 miles south of Philipsburg at Georgetown Lake along MT Scenic Highway 1 on the Georgetown Lake Road.

This facility is one of the larger campgrounds in the lake area with 29 units available for tent and RV camping. 19 sites can be reserved in advance during the summer season and 10 sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The campground is conveniently located across the street from Georgetown Lake, though there is no direct lake access from the site. Red Bridge Boat Launch is within walking distance away. If you camp at Lodgepole Campground there is no charge for using the boat launch/day-use area.
Georgetown Lake boasts more than 3,000 acres of cool mountain waters at an elevation of 6,000 feet. It is surrounded by the sometimes snow-covered Flint Creek Range to the north and the Pintlers to the south.

The campground has 65 sites in total, 34 sites are reservable and 31 sites are available as first-come, first-served.
Loop A and half of loop B are first-come, first-served. Loop C and half of Loop B can be reserved in advance during the summer season. It is available for RV or tent camping and is boater-friendly with paved roads and a boat ramp.
