Above: Sydnee a Krider’s Red-tailed hawk was found near Sidney, Montana in October 2014 with a previous injury to her left humerus, which had healed but impaired her ability to fly. Because she was so young and her injuries were not treatable, she became an MRCC education bird.
2022 SUMMER EDUCATION SERIES
The Montana Raptor Conservation Center invites you to our Summer Education Series! Join us in our beautiful outdoor amphitheater to learn about raptors in an hour-long, biology-based education programs. Each week meet some of the incredible raptors that live above us, we will have 3-4 ambassador birds (education birds) at each talk. Learn about their habits, their amazing adaptations, their diets, and their role in Montana’s ecosystems.
This event is free to the public, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Green family. Donations are encouraged to help us ‘Feed the Birds!’ MRCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, contributions are tax deductible.

Welcome to the Bridger Raptor Festival
October 7th – 9th, 2022
The Bridger Raptor Festival is an annual event held in early October in and around Bozeman, Montana. The festival, which is free to the public, centers around the largest known Golden Eagle migration in the United States. Since 1991 a raptor migration count has taken place every fall at the Bridger Bowl ski area in the Gallatin National Forest just north of Bozeman. Festival activities center around raptor viewing and include nature walks and talks, educational and entertaining programs and activities for people of all ages.
Weather dependent, most exhibits/activities will be outside. MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED indoors.
