Gallatin Gateway, MT
Gallatin Gateway is located halfway between Bozeman and Big Sky. Mainly agricultural, but in the last 10 years it has had a boom in land being subdivided and has become quite the residential area as well. Known simply as “Gateway”, you will find a gas station/cafe and post office. Just a few short blocks off the main road you will find the local cowboy spot “Stacy’s”. Friends of mine remember Saturday nights when the local cowboys would ride their horses into the bar. Back in the day, the Flying D Ranch was the major employer in the area and, let’s just say, Saturday nights got rowdy. Today, Stacy’s is still the local watering hole but it has developed into a mighty good steakhouse.
